MRS. ELEPHANT

Hello everyone. What a pleasure to meet you. My name is Mrs. Elephant. I live in Mammut City. That is in the country of Elephas, in Africa.

I have a wonderful husband. He is a diplomat for our country. I also have two wonderful children. Their names are Harold and Penelope.

My family keeps me very busy. But I am also an artist. I hate to brag, but I am very famous here in Elephas. I like to paint and make sculptures. I also make other kinds of art. I do drawings in pencil and in ink. I also use pastels (those are a bit like chalk). Sometimes I also make art using different fabrics.

I am also a teacher at Elephas University. I teach classes in art. As I said before, I hate to brag. But my students have voted me “Best Professor” for the last 10 years. I am so proud of these awards.

I enjoy traveling. Before my children were born, I traveled a lot. Now, we mostly travel in Africa. Now that Harold and Penelope are older we can travel more.

What I like most about traveling is seeing new things. I like to see the art in new museums. I also like to look at beautiful buildings. I believe that traveling inspires my artwork.

I also like to eat new foods while traveling. We always try the local foods when we travel. We don’t always like the new foods. But sometimes we discover a new favorite food.

I also like to learn new languages. When I traveled more often, I enjoyed my language studies so much. I hope that my children will enjoy this, too.

Penelope says that I should tell you my favorite food. I love Black Forest Gateau. This is a wonderful chocolate cake. We sometimes have it at tea time.
